“This past May I completed my sophomore year at the University of South Carolina in the College of Information and Communication as an Information Science major. This past year I was a member of the Gamecock Scuba Club, served as the Gamecock NROTC Battalion Medical Officer, and began my journey as a leader in the Shandon College ministry, which is a part of the larger Shandon Baptist Church.

This upcoming year I will continue my role in the college ministry and lead alongside two very close friends. I will be a 2nd class Midshipman, and have summer training plans that include spending an extended period of time on a destroyer. 

Kids’ chance of MA has helped relieve much worry and stress from the college process. When my dad passed away unexpectedly in April of 2021, just as I began to start the college application process, I was incredibly anxious about what funding for college would look like. Kids’ Chance of MA has allowed me to not have to worry about housing or feeding myself for the past two years. I am forever grateful for all Kids’ Chance of MA has done for me and how they continue to help and provide.”
